One of the clinical interventions used by HM Counseling is Christian counseling, designed to address many of the issues you may be dealing with currently. HM Counseling incorporates current clinical treatment modalities and theories of practices while using the truth of the Word of God as the foundation. The Bible is the guide that is used to direct the goals and focus for changes to be made in an individual’s life. Sessions may begin and end in prayer, reflect and apply scriptures to current life situations, while also using modalities that would come out of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy and Attachment Theory.
Christian counseling involves a specific set of beliefs that are found in the Bible, the Word of God. Feel free to request the HM Counseling’s Statement of Faith.
Your first visit, and potentially the first several will include assessment/s used to determine your needs and concerns. If all parties agree that HM Counseling can meet your therapeutic needs, a plan of treatment will be developed within the first few weeks, to outline the specific goals to focus on, as well as the approach to take to meet these goals.
HM Counseling provides services both in-person and through the use of interactive visual and audio telecommunications, usually via TherapyNotes, to meet the service needs of clients and families.
What is “Telehealth” Services?
It is a means for a healthcare provider to provide services to a client who is at a different location, when it is difficult or impossible for you to come to the office location to meet in person. It happens in "real time" through videoconferencing and involves the use of computer or another electronic device. This allows you and your provider to see and talk to each other in much the same way you would if you were attending in person. The cost of this service is the same as for services provided in person and as with other HM Counseling services, is not meant as crisis response and should not be used in lieu of crisis response services.
